Join me at the Innovative Arts and Crafts Fair May 6 – 8, 2016! I am honored to be Co-Director of this community event with my friend and fellow artist, Jean Wyatt. We launch with the First Friday Art Walk Sequim Patron Preview of creative vendors and ‘Propagation’ a music performance by Alan B. Brock-Richmond.
2016 will be the 26th year for the Arts and Crafts Fair and is a 2 day event that provides an opportunity for vendors to sell their handcrafted wares. Recycle, Reuse and Repurpose are an underlying theme of the Innovative Arts and Crafts Fair which will have demonstrations throughout Saturday and Sunday, as well as an Innovative Reuse Showcase and Contest. Over 30 vendors make this event a mainstay of the Irrigation Festival. In addition to the crafts vendors, enjoy a selection from our food vendors and enjoy our main stage entertainment.
Sequim Lavender Weekend is almost here! I hope you can join me for Purple Haze Daze at Purple Haze Lavender Farm where you can paint your own silk scarf and gather up goodies that I have made in lots of colors. Our whole community of Sequim has tons of artful activities for you to enjoy through the whole weekend July 17-19. You can find more details at our Visit Sunny Sequim website! These three days showcase many talented artists and inventive local businesses include farm tours, a street fair, quilt show, a barn full of artists, live music, driftwood show, dancing, open aire market, golfing, wine tasting, and so much more!
I’ve got some new products for you this year including art apparel that is made of fabric that I design! Above is my “lavender currents” pattern in the plushy fuzzy infinity scarf. I also have new hand dyed shawls, scarves, and obis. All can double as superhero capes!
As always, you can do “Make and Take Silk Scarf Painting” with me for $20 from 10 AM to 6 PM Friday – Sunday at Purple Haze Lavender Farm. I will be demonstrating painting on silk in my booth filled with one-of-a-kind art apparel, goods, and gear for the superhero in us all.
I hope to see you there and supporting all that Sequim has to offer! Thank you!
I created my own “Seigaiha” Japanese Wave Pattern for silk fabric. This is the red to purple design covered with fresh stems of Sequim lavender that will become silk scarves. I’ll be selling these during the Sequim Lavender Farm Faire at Purple Haze Lavender Farm July 19 – 21, 2013.
